Hello! Here is the message from Lynette, Our interpreter Coordinator from UVMMC- She have an announcement that she wanted to share with us!!
Good morning friends and colleagues,
For the past eight and a half years I have worked as Interpreter Coordinator at UVMMC (the hospital) in Burlington. I am so proud of everything our department has accomplished. We couldn’t have succeeded without the help from our many partners, including our wonderful interpreters, and the incredible Deaf community members who have fought for their needs and advocated and trained our staff and our doctors to do a better job. Kudos to everyone!
I am stepping down from the position as of July 7, and the opening has now been posted. The job description (recently corrected) can be found here. I hope you will consider applying. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch.
As for me, I plan to take a few weeks off, then will return to freelance work (interpreting, consulting and training) later on in August.
I hope you have a wonderful summer! I know I plan to ;).
Warm regards,
Lynette
Thank you Lynette for all you do for Deaf community! We appreciated you so much! 🙂 We, VTAD, wishes you a best of luck with your next journey as freelance interpreter!
