I was wondering if a social group exists in Central Vermont. If not would anybody like to help me start one? I hope there will be some interest. My son is 16 and becomes quite isolated without other deaf kids to hang out with. Please let me know. Please to feel free to call me at (802)465-8339. I do not have A TTY so I can be reached via text at (802)342-3723

My nephew is coming over to Vermont for a 2 week vacation in Sept. from England.
He would love to meet other deaf people over those 2 weeks, he’s unmarried, 38 years old and a cook as a profession. If there is someone out there please call me at 802(878-9267)

My suggestion is to subscribe to deaf vermont via yahoogroups. This has a listing of all events happening in VT and any announcements. I ll post this on the yahoo page for you. subscription information is on the home page of deafvermont.com.

  5. Anna Bernier says:

Hi. My name is Anna, I’m 21 years old, and I was born hard of hearing. I am completely deaf on my left side and partially deaf on my right side. I don’t wear hearing aids, as I can hear pretty well without them, however I do have them on-hand if I should need them. I have always been interested in learning Sign Language, and I was wondering how I can go about doing this. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
