My name is Jason Ruzicka and I’m Events Coordinator for Project Endeavor with Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD) located in Sioux Falls, SD. I’m currently working on all state deaf conferences this upcoming summer, and there is a request I would like to make.
We may be interested in having a booth, giving a presentation about Project Endeavor and advertising in your conference program book, but there are no forms to make reservations. Could you please help me in this process to ensure that we can have our booth, presentation and advertisement in the program book?
Project Endeavor is a federal grant that helps bring Internet access to America’s deaf and hard of hearing people who don’t have or cannot afford internet service. For more information, please visit our website at http://www.project.endeavor.com.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Hello, I am trying to help out a good friend of mine who needs a family lawyer in Vermont. He is deaf and needs legal assistance.
What I’m trying to find out is, if there are any programs to assist him. such as pro bono attorneys. His situation was he was taken advantage of by the other party and their lawyer, because they knew he didn’t understand the legal words and didn’t have representation.
I am hoping to network with some willing mentors in the deaf community. I am attending college to become an ASL interpreter, and would love to be able to work with a deaf person/group. Are there any events you know of that I could attend? Anyone willing to work with me one-on-one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My name is Megan Matovich. I received my Deaf Studies masters from Gallaudet University. My thesis focused on the numerous benefits of sign language in different aspects of life. The first part is a collaborative project between my mother and myself on our experience with sign language and the Deaf community. The second part is a qualitative case study project involving different deaf students and their academic and language development in sign language, written English, and spoken language. A website was created to share my thesis, http://www.whysign.com.
I sincerely hope you will take the time to review the website and add it as a resource on the association website for members and parents to access. Let me know if you are interested or have any questions or concerns. Looking forward to your response.
